About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop new or modified process formulations and define equipment requirements and specifications for metals in advanced DRAM manufacturing
- Review processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products
- Coordinate design requirement reviews with engineering and scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods
- Compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications
- Plan projects involving the selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and improved processing approaches
- Work directly with process integration and other process areas including Dry Etch, Wet Etch, CVD, Diffusion, Lithography, and CMP
- Own the process roadmap for state-of-the-art metals chambers to meet program and yield goals
- Apply knowledge of solid-state physics, chemical kinetics, and material growth mechanisms to deposition processes like CVD, ALD, and PVD
Requirements
- Master's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 3 years of experience, or a PhD in a related field
- Experience working with thin film deposition equipment in a lab or clean-room environment
- Proficiency in deposition processes such as PVD, CVD, or other advanced techniques
- Expertise in thin film and surface analysis techniques including SIMS, XPS, EDS, AFM, SEM, or other crystallographic methods
- Strong understanding of materials physics, including the principles governing the structure and electronic properties of advanced materials
- Knowledge of material growth mechanisms, including thin film deposition, crystallization, and interfaces
- Experience with electrical and physical analysis of semiconductor devices or nanostructures
- Proficiency in scientific programming and scripting for data analysis and automation using Python, MATLAB, or JMP
