Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design and specification for medium to large-sized pump stations and storage tanks (potable water, firefighting, irrigation, sewage, stormwater, and drainage)
  • Mechanical process equipment sizing: pumps, control valves, storage tanks, head loss and NPSH calculations, surge vessel sizing, HVAC load, chiller and cooling tower sizing
  • Hydraulic modelling (WANDA, WaterCAD, InfoWater)
  • Prepare equipment schedules, layouts, plans, elevations, and site plans
  • Conduct heat load calculations (HAP)
  • Interface with design leads, project teams, clients, and stakeholders for approvals
  • Review and approval of plant-related submittals
  • Engage in digitalization, innovations, and workload improvement
  • Collaborate across multiple, diverse teams, including geographically spread teams

Requirements

  • Experience with mechanical design for infrastructure projects (pump stations, water/wastewater plants, RO/district cooling plants)
  • Advanced knowledge of Abu Dhabi/Dubai/UAE/KSA/Qatar Authority Guidelines
  • Proficient with Autodesk 2D/3D, Revit MEP, BIM, and hydraulic modelling software
  • Master planning awareness for plant footprint and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Technical report writing and specification development skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years' infrastructure design experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, BIM
