About the role
Responsibilities
Depending on the specific team assigned (Sales, Project, Design, or R&D), responsibilities include:
- Developing heavy-lift/heavy-transport solutions and proposal materials
- Supporting senior engineers in creating lift plans, rigging configurations, and lifting procedures
- Performing basic load calculations and structural analysis
- Creating design packages including fabrication drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications
- Providing on-site technical assistance during lifting and rigging operations
- Assisting with equipment selection, cost estimation, and project documentation
- Participating in site inspections and identifying potential safety hazards
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited 4-year university
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- 0-2 years of experience in structural/mechanical design, crane operations, or rigging (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor) is beneficial
- Ability to visit job sites and work in outdoor/hazardous environments
- Must pass a drug test, fit for duty, and background check
