Engineer, Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of performance engineers to drive server CPU performance benchmarking and optimization.
• Define performance KPIs, benchmarking strategies, and technical roadmaps for next-generation ARMv9 platforms.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across architecture, silicon, firmware, kernel, compiler, and workload teams.
• Lead characterization efforts for CPU, memory, I/O, NUMA, and ARMv9 features using SPEC suites and cloud-native benchmarks.
• Own regression detection and CI/CD automation to track KPIs across the software and hardware stack.
• Conduct deep-dive root cause investigations using PMU counters, perf, VTune, and Streamline.
• Support OEM/ODM benchmarking and validate workloads for hyperscalers, Kubernetes, and enterprise customers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in CPU performance engineering or system software.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and C/C++.
• Deep understanding of microarchitecture, memory hierarchy, NUMA, and PCIe/CXL.
• Hands-on experience with ARMv9, SVE/SVE2, virtualization, and firmware.
• Proven experience with SPEC suites and cloud-native benchmarking workloads.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
