Engineer

Responsibilities

• Produce highways designs, drawings, reports, and documentation for the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework
• Prepare preliminary and detailed designs in accordance with approved procedures for local and national authorities
• Support the Senior Engineer with design schedules and health, safety, and welfare contract documentation
• Deliver technical and feasibility studies satisfying client specifications
• Assess potential risks, materials, and costs in compliance with regulations and guidelines
• Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data including maps, reports, and drawings
• Contribute to technical excellence and innovation within the team
• Oversee and mentor junior staff
• Maintain good relations with clients and authorities

Requirements

• Membership of a professional body (IEng / CEng status or working towards competence)
• Strong working knowledge of civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD
