Engineer - ITS

Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of ITS systems on-site.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Review contractor submittals, including shop drawings, method statements, and commissioning plans.
• Inspect and verify installation works for ITS infrastructure and equipment.
• Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and integrated testing.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, telecom, and traffic engineers.
• Identify construction issues and provide technical recommendations to support project delivery.
• Prepare site inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management requirements.
• Coordinate with Abu Dhabi stakeholders and authorities regarding approvals and project handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in ITS engineering and construction supervision.
• Demonstrated experience working on ITS construction projects within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of ITS standards, traffic management systems, and communications networks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITC (Integrated Transport Centre) approval.
• Previous experience in ITS design.
