About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain 3D printing equipment
- Create SolidWorks models, assemblies, and technical drawings
- Work closely with the Business Unit Manager on the design and execution of shot peening robots
- Learn casting techniques and assist in manufacturing tooling
- Identify opportunities for masking and general process improvements
- Support machine troubleshooting, repairs, and general improvements
- Research and procure necessary materials from vendors
- Potentially travel to various facilities for on-site work
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering student (2nd, 3rd, or 4th year)
- Proficiency in CAD modeling, ideally using SolidWorks
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing and Simplify3d software
- Demonstrated design and build experience (e.g., robotics teams, Formula SAE/HPVC, or significant personal engineering projects)
