About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise a team of Resident Engineers, Office Engineers, Inspectors, and Junior Engineers
- Conduct constructability review meetings to minimize construction delays
- Ensure project information is compiled accurately and generate data to resolve field problems
- Inspect contracted work to ensure compliance with Agency and City policies and standards
- Generate cost proposals and estimates for contract price negotiations
- Evaluate and recommend design or redesign modifications of engineering structures
- Serve as the Agency's on-site representative to coordinate with public and private sector representatives
- Develop and train employees
Requirements
- Permanent status in Associate Project Manager title or reachable on DDC promotional/open-competitive lists
- One year of experience supervising employees in project management for engineering/architectural projects or construction projects valued at $1,000,000+
- Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field plus required experience
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing and OSHA 10-hour certification (or ability to complete DDC training)
- Authorization to work full-time in the United States
