Engineer III - Electronics

Responsibilities

• Act as a key technical contributor supporting ADAS system and component testing programs
• Work hands-on with advanced steering, braking, and GPS-based robotic platforms for real-world and regulatory testing
• Support the execution of ADAS testing for features such as LKA, LDW, AHL, AEB, FMVSS 127, and NCAP
• Install, calibrate, and operate ADAS-specific measurement systems, robotic controllers, data loggers, and target systems
• Troubleshoot test equipment and respond to urgent instrumentation support needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, repeatable, and efficient test execution
• Drive continuous improvement in test equipment capability, reliability, and maintenance processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, instrumentation, and vehicle testing engineering principles
• Demonstrated hands-on problem-solving ability with excellent attention to detail
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License
• Ability to travel within a 60-mile radius of the home office; occasional out-of-state or international travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotic systems, test instrumentation, data acquisition, or measurement equipment
• Proficiency in designing and fabricating custom solutions using tools such as 3-D printing
