About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop product requirements, feature requirements, and system performance analysis for 4G/5G air interface technologies.
- Convert customer requirements into detailed system designs and technical specifications for development teams.
- Lead technical discussions regarding Samsung products and scheduler features with RAN development and performance groups.
- Author technical proposals, research papers, design documents, and patent filings.
- Provide expert technical support during the pre-sales process to create compelling technical and commercial solutions.
- Lead field integration testing (FFA/FIT/FSA), including test plan development, execution, and issue analysis.
- Provide Tier 3 support by troubleshooting scheduler-related issues reported from customer labs and production networks.
- Evaluate LTE RAN network performance through KPI trending, trials, and optimization guidelines.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of post-baccalaureate experience in engineering or network-related roles.
- Proficiency in 4G/5G Call Processing (RRC, S1-MME, S1-U, and X2 protocols).
- Experience with Massive MIMO, Hybrid Beamforming, and 3GPP RAN architecture.
- Hands-on experience with protocol analyzers and simulation tools including MATLAB, XCAL, QXDM, and Wireshark.
- Knowledge of EN-DC network architecture and 5G Numerologies.
- Ability to perform RF antenna technology evaluation and network optimization.
- Willingness to travel domestically (5-10%) for client and team meetings.
