Engineer II, Manufacturing Execution Systems

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for shop-floor users to troubleshoot and resolve issues with MES and SCADA systems
• Perform structured troubleshooting across application, configuration, and infrastructure layers
• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, and IT to restore services and minimize production impact in a GMP environment
• Maintain support knowledge through runbooks, KB articles, and SOPs while providing user coaching
• Execute standard change-control activities and contribute to compliance activities including deviations and investigations
• Monitor system health and propose corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) for continuous improvement
• Mentor junior team members through shadowing, ticket reviews, and documentation feedback

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Ability to work first, second, or third shifts to support 24/7 operations
• Must be based onsite full-time at the Norwood, MA facility
• Must hold current US work authorization without the need for future sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Depth in systems such as Syncade, Apprentice Tempo, Aveva SCADA, DeltaV, or BMS
• Working understanding of cGMP manufacturing operations, GAMP, and CSV/change-control practices
• Demonstrated strength in incident triage, root-cause analysis, and technical documentation
• Experience coaching or mentoring junior engineers
• Strong customer-service mindset with experience in user training and knowledge sharing
