Engineer II, Inspection Technology

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage inspection machine standards through Process Flow Diagrams for Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance
• Analyze system breakdowns to improve false "No Good" rates and determine root causes
• Communicate vision system equipment installation schedules to production teams, HQ, and vendors
• Collaborate with vendor support for vision system programming activity
• Review daily production reports on improvements and KPIs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Minimum 3 years of engineering equipment experience in a production or plant environment
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, Statistical Process Control, and Manufacturing Execution Systems
• Experience with Total Productive and Preventive Maintenance methodologies
• Knowledge of Six Sigma
• Deep understanding of measurement system analysis (MSA) and gage R&R using Minitab
• Experience maintaining in-line inspection systems such as Machine Vision, 3D metrology, X-ray, and CT
• Ability to work flexible hours to support production abnormalities
• Physical ability to wear PPE and perform manual tasks for up to 12 hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with machine vision algorithm libraries like Halcon or OpenCV
• Experience with deep learning models
