Engineer II - Field Service

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UPS systems, PDU, STS, and AHF products.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues affecting power electronics performance.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system reliability.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand needs, provide solutions, and offer training on system use.
• Prepare detailed service reports including diagnostic findings, actions taken, and maintenance recommendations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards during all service activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in UPS systems support or a related field.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing UPS systems and a strong understanding of electrical principles.
• Familiarity with network protocols and remote monitoring tools.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as needed and work flexible hours for emergency support.
• Physical ability to lift and handle UPS components and heavy equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working specifically with Vertiv products.
