Engineer II - Field Service

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and set up new UPS systems, transfer switches, and power distribution units.
• Perform routine maintenance and testing for AC/DC power systems and various battery types (Li-ion, Nicad, Sealed Lead).
• Diagnose and repair technical faults, replacing critical components such as capacitors and batteries.
• Provide onsite troubleshooting and remote support during critical system failures.
• Conduct site assessments and develop system upgrade or modification plans to meet client needs.
• Draft detailed service reports and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.
• Provide technical support and training to clients regarding proper UPS system usage.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures when working with electrical equipment.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in UPS services and computer-related disciplines.
• Ability to read and provide Electrical One Line Schematics/Single Line Diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnostic skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and report writing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of UPS systems within a data center or similar high-stakes environment.
• Extensive experience with 3-phase UPS systems.
• Deep understanding of power distribution, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), PDU, and SKRU.
• Familiarity with Energy Management and Automation Systems.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage project timelines effectively.
