About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead product R&D and analytical verification and validation (V&V) activities for global, cross-functional projects involving polymeric materials.
- Utilize expertise in polymers and polymeric composites to perform root cause analyses for manufacturing or field performance issues.
- Develop materials and mechanical testing protocols, evaluate test cases, and generate comprehensive test reports.
- Organize and present technical deliverables to global project teams with clear logical flow.
- Manage project tasks including change controls using in-house quality systems.
- Interpret chemical analysis data (FTIR, NMR, ICP-OES) and mechanical testing results (tensile testing).
- Drive materials and V&V tests in a timely manner across multiple concurrent projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering with 4-6 years of industrial experience.
- (Alternative) Master's degree in Polymer Science/Chemical Engineering with 3-5 years of industrial experience.
- (Alternative) Ph.D. in Polymer Science/Chemical Engineering with 1-3 years of industrial experience.
- Demonstrated industrial experience in designing, testing, and performing root cause analysis on polymeric materials and composites.
- Proficiency in polymeric materials' testing methodologies, including FTIR, GC-MS, HPLC, and tensile testing.
- Strong root cause analysis skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management.
