Engineer I, SIL

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers to understand project requirements and gather feedback throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in defining system and subsystem functional and interface requirements
• Develop design concepts, prototypes, and solution alternatives through trade studies
• Create technical drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and instruction manuals
• Perform technical evaluations of BOMs submitted by suppliers
• Research material and component costs, availability, and design risks
• Develop design schedules and provide progress status metrics
• Test produced designs against established test plans and project criteria
• Ensure all work complies with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 1-3 years of experience in the detailed design of electrical systems, hardware, and software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with changing priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• Experience working on multi-discipline projects involving automotive subsystems
• Previous experience with military tactical, combat, or support ground vehicles
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
