Engineer I, Field Service

Responsibilities

• Perform startups, maintenance, and emergency repairs for Vertiv UPS, battery, power distribution, and site monitoring equipment
• Handle major COLO centre projects and manage all types of PQA
• Respond professionally to assigned service calls and comply with Field Procedure Manuals
• Maintain continuous communication with the dispatching team and department management
• Manage assigned spare parts van stock and ensure proper accounting of parts
• Submit accurate weekly paperwork and debrief completed jobs at customer premises
• Promote sales or service leads to the appropriate departments
• Ensure availability for weekend and night work in compliance with local labor laws
• Follow environmental guidelines regarding waste handling and storage

Requirements

• Secondary school diploma or University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical service for UPS equipment
• Basic level proficiency in English
• Ability to travel up to 90% of the time
• Ability to lift up to 30 kg

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer literacy
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work weekends and handle frequent travel with little notice
• Self-starter with excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
