About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all utility systems including electrical, compressed air, water, steam, and HVAC
- Monitor utility consumption and identify energy-saving opportunities to reduce costs
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for utility issues and facility maintenance
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades
- Negotiate contracts and manage service agreements
- Maintain accurate records of utility performance, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation
- Ensure work is completed safely and maintain cleanliness according to 5S3R standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of facilities experience in a production or plant environment
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for up to 12 hours
- Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and stand for lengthy periods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Experience using CAD and coding
