Engineer I, Facilities

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all utility systems including electrical, compressed air, water, steam, and HVAC
• Monitor utility consumption and identify energy-saving opportunities to reduce costs
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for utility issues and facility maintenance
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades
• Negotiate contracts and manage service agreements
• Maintain accurate records of utility performance, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation
• Ensure work is completed safely and maintain cleanliness according to 5S3R standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of facilities experience in a production or plant environment
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for up to 12 hours
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and stand for lengthy periods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
• Six Sigma certification
• Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Experience using CAD and coding
