About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical maintenance and complex repairs on diesel engines and heavy construction equipment, including 50-ton hydraulic cranes, container handlers, and forklifts
  • Troubleshoot and repair MVAC systems
  • Execute operator, intermediate, and limited major rebuild levels of maintenance, including spot painting
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and training to lower-level mechanics
  • Utilize technical manuals, specifications, and measuring instrumentation to ensure quality standards
  • Comply with all established safety and quality standards and time schedules

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Six years of directly related work experience
  • Completion of the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course or equivalent
  • Completion of MVAC course with a valid certificate
  • Valid state driver's license and ability to obtain a Tactical Operator License
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds
