About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of new hand-operated and automated power tools for the industrial market, including precision torque drivers and riveting tools.
  • Utilize Pro-E Creo 4 to drive product engineering initiatives, including the creation of 2D drawings and 3D models.
  • Collaborate with Product Development Engineers and Technicians to design mechanical and electrical components, assemblies, and associated test equipment.
  • Participate in cross-functional brainstorming and problem-solving sessions to validate new designs and enhancements.
  • Perform feasibility and risk assessments using rapid prototyping, design stack-ups, DFMEA, and testing plans.
  • Create and review engineering documentation and change requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering design technology or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience designing complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD, specifically using Pro-E Creo 4.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, DFMEA, and stack-up analysis.
  • Knowledge of inspection and measuring equipment techniques.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the design and validation of electrical components and associated test equipment.
  • Proficiency in using mechanical software for design and performance simulations.
  • Specific experience designing tools for torquing or riveting.
  • Strong knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
