Engineer Candidate

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrological and hydraulic analyses and 1D/2D hydraulic simulations
• Design hydraulic structures including bridges, culverts, and spillways
• Draft hydrological and hydraulic study reports, technical notes, and opinions
• Identify innovative solutions for specific technical challenges
• Prepare plans and specifications
• Conduct site visits and field work

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline
• Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or currently in the process of obtaining it
• Familiarity with hydraulic simulation software such as HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS
• Proficiency with ArcGIS and AutoCAD
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Hydrology or Hydraulics
• Experience with Mike 21 software
• Knowledge of dam safety regulations
