Engineer, Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed team of physical design engineers executing multiple concurrent place-and-route projects across the HPC controller product portfolio
• Own the physical feasibility sign-off process for all HPC controller soft IP releases, defining timing, power, area, and customer implementability standards
• Build and maintain physical user guides for each product vertical to translate complex floorplan and implementation strategies into actionable guidance
• Support customers directly during implementation cycles, assisting with floorplan development, hierarchical flows, and node-specific challenges
• Develop scalable flows, scripts, and sign-off criteria to ensure consistency and repeatability across the full configuration space of HPC controllers
• Partner with RTL design teams to drive structural improvements and provide technical direction to enable physical success
• Interface with methodology and EDA tool teams to improve Fusion Compiler flows, constraint generation, and automation

Requirements

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in physical design and place-and-route, including a track record of successful timing closure and tapeout
• 10+ years in engineering leadership roles, ideally within an ASIC or IP development environment
• Deep expertise with Synopsys physical implementation tools, specifically Fusion Compiler
• Extensive knowledge of hierarchical flows, clock tree synthesis (CTS), timing closure, and power optimization
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver results in a dynamic development environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and support customers through complex technical challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in HPC, networking, or high-speed controller IP development
• Background in customer-facing technical support or field applications engineering
