Engineer 2 Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead complex planning, execution, and delivery of projects for the Kennedy Propellants and Life Support Services program
• Develop and manage project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and baselines
• Apply expert-level Earned Value Management (EVM) to track performance, identify variances, and drive corrective actions
• Maintain cost, schedule, and scope controls using established project management frameworks
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks while maintaining risk registers
• Provide clear status updates, dashboards, and executive-level reporting to stakeholders
• Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle
• Support ongoing improvements to project management processes and promote best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of project management experience in complex, multi-workstream environments
• Expert-level proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) and project controls
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet, or Jira
• US citizenship is required for restricted area access
• Ability to successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
• Valid driver's license for travel onto and around Kennedy Space Center property

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting aerospace ground operations, facility systems upgrades, or infrastructure modernization
• Familiarity with engineering documentation, including technical briefs, design packages, and configuration management
• Knowledge of system maintenance, inspection requirements, and compliance standards (ASME, NASA, or equivalent)
• Experience managing projects involving mechanical, cryogenic, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems
• Working understanding of system safety engineering, including hazard analysis and failure modes evaluation
• Experience implementing blended or scaled agile methodologies
