Engineer 2, Engineering Operations

Responsibilities

• Provide level 1/2 operational support for incident management, problem resolution, and on-call activities.
• Manage VM deployment, OS troubleshooting, ESXi configuration, and SOX auditing.
• Develop and maintain engagements with infrastructure engineering, MSP resources, and vendors to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Implement automated operational tasks using scripting to improve reliability and standards.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to build repeatable systems following security best practices and hardening.
• Partner with business and client teams to articulate technical requirements and manage project timelines.

Requirements

• Experience managing, building, and troubleshooting virtualization and OS technologies, specifically VMware and Windows.
• Hands-on experience with hardware vendors, preferably Cisco C/B and Cisco UCS.
• Working knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and network topology.
• Experience with OS/HW level monitoring and performance management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within JIRA-based sprint structures.
• B.E. or B.Tech. degree in Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4.5 years of hands-on technical experience.
• Recent experience with Cloud-based technologies.
• Familiarity with Block, File, or Object storage technologies.
• Knowledge of backup technologies, recovery scenarios, and high availability designs.
• Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM toolsets.
• Familiarity with PCI and SOX procedures and controls.
