Engineer 2 - Cyber Security Operations

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks for security events, alerts, potential threats, and active intrusions
• Investigate and analyze cybersecurity incidents to identify intrusion paths and methods
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using reverse engineering techniques
• Conduct root cause analysis and evaluate system security configurations
• Assist with security audits, risk analysis, and network forensics
• Develop and implement countermeasures, system integrations, and specialized security tools
• Prepare detailed incident reports and technical briefs for the IT security team
• Conduct After Action Reviews (AAR) to improve response processes and update playbooks

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity operations
• Strong skills in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
• Proven capability in threat analysis and identifying security flaws
• Knowledge of network forensics and malware/intrusion resolution
• Ability to work nights and weekends on a variable schedule as necessary
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered
