Engineer 1

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks including design development, analysis, and the development of operation and maintenance instructions (OMI)
• Audit drawing schematics and provide redline updates
• Create work orders and process workflows using Maximo work management software
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications
• Interface with customers during design reviews and technical working group meetings
• Conduct site visits and experimental investigations to analyze engineering problems and propose solutions
• Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards, test procedures, and safety protocols

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific field
• 0-1 year of job-related experience
• US citizenship is required for restricted area access
• Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance and a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
• Valid driver's license for travel around Kennedy Space Center property
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and integrated software applications
