Engine Test Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Architect the engine test program from a blank sheet including instrumentation, procedures, and acceptance criteria
• Build, hire, and lead the engine test team
• Design the control room and training curriculum for qualified personnel
• Execute three consecutive engine development campaigns on a strict schedule
• Maintain safety and quality standards under high schedule pressure
• Own the entire path from cold hardware to first fire and all readiness gates

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in test engineering
• Proven experience leading large-scale testing on expensive hardware (e.g., rocket launches, flight testing, or engine cell operations)
• Experience as a principal author of major test campaigns
• Direct management experience of medium or large-sized teams
• Graduation from a professional test curriculum (e.g., Air Force, Navy, National Test Pilot School) or equivalent professional experience
• Ability to comply with ITAR/EAR requirements
