About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead engine maintenance cost analyses and develop defensible value stories from technical data
  • Build, maintain, and improve engine cost and lifecycle models
  • Communicate engine maintenance value compared to prior-generation and competing engines
  • Translate industry, competitor, and customer data into quantified business impact for presentations
  • Influence internal stakeholders and engine manufacturers on design and program decisions
  • Mentor internal analysts and collaborate with experts in economics, finance, and performance
  • Standardize data collection and knowledge management for market-facing materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 7+ years of experience in the commercial aviation engine industry
  • Experience performing technical, financial, or economic analyses focused on engines
  • Experience presenting to executives, external audiences, or government officials
  • Willingness to travel 25–30% globally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of engine repairs, shop visits, restorations, and MRO environments
  • Familiarity with major engine types and engine performance/modules
  • Understanding of engine commercial arrangements (e.g., Power by the Hour, Total Care)
  • Knowledge of airline operations, leasing, and contractual terms
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience modeling engine economics over a lifecycle
  • A&P license or Powerplant certification
