Engine Lab Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct gasoline and diesel engine dynamometer testing to support development, durability, and performance
• Collect, review, and validate data for accuracy and provide recommendations to engineering teams
• Install engines on dynamometers, hook up instrumentation, and troubleshoot technical problems
• Verify the calibration and maintenance of test equipment and systems
• Fabricate basic fixtures and interface with engineers on new test procedures and methods
• Perform manual labor including lifting engine parts up to 50 lbs

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of engines and powertrain systems
• Strong interpersonal, computer, and communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to work the afternoon shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology or a related field
• Previous experience in gasoline or diesel engine testing
• Experience with engines/powertrain dynamometer testing or similar technical testing techniques
