About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct gasoline and diesel engine dynamometer testing following procedural and non-procedural plans
- Perform mechanical setup, installation, and removal of engines on a dynamometer
- Collect, review, and validate testing data to ensure accuracy and quality
- Connect test instrumentation and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and data issues
- Collaborate with test engineers and calibrators to support engine hardware and calibration development
- Maintain equipment calibrations and apply problem-solving techniques for continuous improvement
- Champion safety protocols for themselves and others in the test cell environment
Requirements
- 2-year associate degree in a mechanical/engineering field or 5+ years of equivalent technician experience
- Demonstrated experience installing and removing engines on a dynamometer
- Hands-on experience with test instrumentation and engine component installation
- Strong knowledge of gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines
- Proficiency with PUMA, INCA, and Indicom test bed software
- Ability to work second shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) and off shifts as needed
- Strong mechanical, fabrication, and analytical troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Engine Development or Engine Validation Testing
- 5+ years of experience specifically with PUMA, INCA, and Indicom Test Bed Systems
- 5+ years of welding and fabrication experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automotive, Leadership, or a related field
