About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee care, guidance, and supervision of children at the Children’s Center
- Create a welcoming, trauma-informed environment for children entering and exiting the facility
- Conduct individual and group orientation sessions to support program expectations and placement transitions
- Chaperone or transport youth to appointments, school, activities, court, and community-based activities
- Monitor behavior, assist with personal hygiene when needed, and report concerns
- Inspect and inventory children’s property and manage logs, incident reports, and tracking sheets
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of community work or community-centered experience
- Experience related to child welfare or youth services
- Ability to supervise and support vulnerable children
- Strong documentation and communication skills
