About the role

Responsibilities

  • Audit energy and water assistance applications for completeness, accuracy, and necessary documentation
  • Meet with customers to determine program eligibility and assist with application completion
  • Maintain accurate customer records and perform timely data entry into program databases
  • Process financial assistance payments and close out files
  • Provide customer education regarding energy and water conservation and weatherization services
  • Conduct community outreach through neighborhood canvassing, community fairs, and other events
  • Provide information and referrals to other agencies and resources as appropriate

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a related field, or four years of equivalent professional experience
  • Bilingual/Biliterate in English and Spanish or English and Vietnamese
  • Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Valid CA driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and vehicle insurance
  • Strong mathematical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to handle both face-to-face and phone-based customer interactions with diverse groups

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with financial assistance programs and application auditing
  • Experience engaging and/or managing volunteers
