About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe environment for patients to prevent potential injury
- Evaluate and complete assessment of patient needs before, during, and after procedures
- Maintain accurate and complete endoscopy records
- Clean and disinfect endoscopy equipment
- Operate and troubleshoot endoscopy and patient monitoring equipment
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and medications
- Participate in QI, Materials Management, Safety, and Infection Control programs
- Communicate pertinent information to co-workers and report errors
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) obtained within 30 days of hire
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a same day surgery environment
- Associates Degree in medical assisting or prior technician experience preferred
- 1+ years of previous GI experience preferred
