About the role
Responsibilities
- Place IVs under the direction of a certified dentist, oral surgeon, or CRNA
- Attend to patients while they recover from anesthesia
- Assist the oral surgery team with duties such as taking x-rays and sterilizing instruments
- Assist with sedation-related duties including connecting patients to monitors and nasal cannulas
- Greet patients and perform other clinical support tasks as trained
Requirements
- EMT or Paramedic certification
- Proven competence and experience in placing difficult IVs
- Ability to work in a clinical oral surgery environment
