About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide quality healthcare services including emergency medical treatments, assessments, and medication delivery
- Oversee all shift activities, including resident safety, movement, and programming
- Supervise Diversion EMTs to ensure the provision of quality and cost-effective medical services
- Perform direct patient service, administrative tasks, and life-sustaining interventions
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for behavioral health clients
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Current EMT license in good standing
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Certified EMS provider with at least 3 years of experience (one full certification cycle)
- Completion of an MPD-approved EMT evaluator workshop
- Ability to meet all required medical, company, and facility contract requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of experience working with populations involving substance use or mental health disorders
- 1 year of experience in employee supervision
- Ability to become a certified CPR/First Aid trainer within 6 months of hire
- Ability to become a certified CPI trainer within 6 months of hire
- Ability to become a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainer within one year of hire
