About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality healthcare services including emergency medical treatments, assessments, and medication delivery
  • Oversee all shift activities, including resident safety, movement, and programming
  • Supervise Diversion EMTs to ensure the provision of quality and cost-effective medical services
  • Perform direct patient service, administrative tasks, and life-sustaining interventions
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation for behavioral health clients

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current EMT license in good standing
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Certified EMS provider with at least 3 years of experience (one full certification cycle)
  • Completion of an MPD-approved EMT evaluator workshop
  • Ability to meet all required medical, company, and facility contract requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience working with populations involving substance use or mental health disorders
  • 1 year of experience in employee supervision
  • Ability to become a certified CPR/First Aid trainer within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to become a certified CPI trainer within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to become a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainer within one year of hire
