EMT (AEMT or EMT-I)

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing reviews
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate reactions according to established SOPs
• Follow medical emergency protocols, including donor transport to emergency care facilities
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings in coordination with the Center Physician
• Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives and employee incident management
• Assist with vaccination programs and serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current EMT-Paramedic license or certification in the state of assignment
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• Ability to fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• Ability to complete FDA-approved training requirements for Medical Support Specialists
