EMS Senior Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist with HVAC Controls Design and Submittal reviews
• Review utility data and energy usage to identify schools for recommissioning and retro commissioning
• Analyze EMS and energy data to identify low-cost energy conservation and preventive maintenance measures
• Perform site visits to investigate as-built conditions on identified projects
• Implement low-cost or no-cost solutions for EMS system repairs at existing school sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems
• Respond to basic warranty calls and calibrate systems using electronic test equipment
• Assist in managing In-House Commissioning Projects

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of professional experience in building controls or a related field
• Understanding of computer networking principles, including configuration and troubleshooting
• Ability to wire, start up, and troubleshoot basic HVAC maintenance issues
• Fundamental understanding of HVAC operations within a facility
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical, or IT) OR a technical degree in HVAC/Electronics with additional relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with controls manufacturers such as Automated Logic, Carrier, Delta, Distech, Schneider Electric, or Trane
• Proven ability to debug installation issues during static and dynamic start-up phases
• Experience supporting installation personnel and contractors on project sites
• Extensive experience in performing or assisting in EMS commissioning

• Salary Range: $99,000-$104,000
