Employment Law Attorney

Responsibilities

• Manage employment law matters from intake through resolution
• Advise clients regarding workplace rights, compliance issues, and employment-related disputes
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, demand letters, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
• Handle administrative claims before agencies such as the EEOC and state labor departments
• Take and defend depositions, attend mediations, negotiate settlements, and represent clients at hearings and trial
• Maintain consistent client communication and provide strategic legal counsel
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license and good standing with the State Bar
• 3+ years of employment law experience preferred
• Experience with discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, ADA, and FMLA
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload
