Employment Counselor

Responsibilities

• Conduct RESEA initial and final reviews, including career action planning and job search assessments
• Review claimant work search activities and provide guidance on effective strategies
• Manage a caseload of participants providing individualized coaching, counseling, and mentoring
• Develop and maintain individualized employment plans with short- and long-term goals
• Review resumes and facilitate access to training opportunities and education programs
• Maintain accurate participant records and ensure compliance with program requirements
• Coordinate with internal staff and external partners to support job placement

Requirements

• Associate degree in Human Services, Education, Workforce Development, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in workforce development or case management preferred
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation
• Familiarity with local labor market trends

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
