About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evolve the HR service model to ensure clear roles and hand-offs between Shared Services, HR Business Partners, and Centers of Excellence.
- Serve as a strategic partner to HR leadership to translate business needs into scalable employee service solutions.
- Drive change management for new HR processes, systems, and service delivery approaches.
- Implement and manage a tiered HR support model and define satisfaction metrics such as responsiveness and resolution rates.
- Own the administration and continuous optimization of HRIS platforms, ensuring data accuracy and actionable reporting.
- Manage the operational performance of HR vendors and facilitate contract negotiations.
- Develop and maintain HR knowledge articles, FAQs, and process guides to reduce manual support through automation.
- Lead and develop a team of HR professionals, overseeing performance management, coaching, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field.
- 10 years of human resources experience in HR operations, shared services, or corporate employee services.
- 2 years of people leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience with the full employee lifecycle and knowledge of employment legislation and regulatory guidelines.
- Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting platforms.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally less than 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 years of experience with shared services or employee services in global HR operations.
- Experience supporting a diverse, multi-geographic employee base.
- Experience in a business with foreign ownership, preferably Japanese.
- Experience with Requisite Organization principles.
- Professional HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SHRM-CP, or GPHR).
