About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a varied caseload of ER matters end-to-end, including performance, absence, conduct, and dismissals
  • Advise managers on legally sound approaches, balancing commercial pace with employment law compliance
  • Draft high-quality outcome letters, PIPs, and settlement agreements that are legally precise and human in tone
  • Manage formal and informal grievance processes, including conducting investigations and producing reasoned outcomes
  • Support probationary reviews and advise on the correct processes for extending or terminating probation
  • Advise on right to work cases and immigration compliance in alignment with Home Office guidance
  • Coach managers through live ER cases to build their capability and confidence
  • Ensure ER case documentation meets GDPR standards and manage suspected data breaches in coordination with Legal

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience managing ER cases end-to-end in a generalist or specialist HR role
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, including the Equality Act 2010 and Working Time Regulations
  • Experience with GDPR and data governance
  • High level of judgement and the ability to handle complex people situations with autonomy
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting legal and professional correspondence
  • Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience advising on right to work and immigration compliance
  • Experience working within a fast-moving, scaling fintech or technology environment
