About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing expert counsel on workplace conflict and resolution strategies.
  • Lead complex workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and policy violations.
  • Partner with leadership to design and implement performance management strategies and coach managers on corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, including stay interviews and pulse surveys, to improve retention.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of HR policies to ensure legal compliance and mitigate organizational risk.
  • Analyze employee relations trends and investigation outcomes to provide actionable insights to HR leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in employee relations, performance management, or HR-related roles.
  • Proven experience conducting complex workplace investigations and managing case documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII).
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience supporting multi-site organizations and working within mission-driven environments (nonprofit, education, or healthcare).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR.
