About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead ER input for mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and transfers, including due diligence, TUPE analysis, and post-transfer integration.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, HR, and business leaders to ensure M&A activity is compliant and colleague-focused.
  • Plan and manage collective and individual consultation activities, ensuring clear communication and risk management.
  • Provide expert guidance and escalation support for complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters.
  • Identify ER risks and trends from casework and organizational change to drive policy improvements and manager coaching.
  • Support the development of scalable ER processes, templates, and governance standards for change programmes.

Requirements

  • Significant HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations and complex case management.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, including TUPE, redundancy, and collective consultation.
  • Proven experience supporting organizational change, such as restructures, mergers, or acquisitions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to advise senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting consultation materials and leadership updates.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and complex timelines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent professional HR experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and SMCR.
