About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters including performance management, policy interpretation, and accommodations
  • Lead thorough, timely, and impartial workplace investigations and document findings
  • Coach managers and people leaders on performance management and corrective action
  • Develop and deliver ER-focused training for managers
  • Track ER trends and metrics to identify risks
  • Partner with Legal and People leadership to ensure compliance with employment laws
  • Manage the end-to-end workers' compensation process, including claims administration and return-to-work planning
  • Own OSHA recordkeeping, reporting, and safety compliance across multiple states
  • Partner with department leaders to investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective actions

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience with deep expertise in employee relations and complex workplace investigations
  • Experience managing workers' compensation programs and OSHA compliance
  • Deep knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law and HR compliance
  • Proven ability to coach managers through complex employee situations
  • Strong investigative instincts and ability to synthesize information objectively
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver manager training
  • Data-oriented with ability to track case metrics
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare, tech, or high-growth startup experience
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-entity organizations
  • PHR, SPHR, or related certification
