About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters including performance management, policy interpretation, and accommodations
- Lead thorough, timely, and impartial workplace investigations and document findings
- Coach managers and people leaders on performance management and corrective action
- Develop and deliver ER-focused training for managers
- Track ER trends and metrics to identify risks
- Partner with Legal and People leadership to ensure compliance with employment laws
- Manage the end-to-end workers' compensation process, including claims administration and return-to-work planning
- Own OSHA recordkeeping, reporting, and safety compliance across multiple states
- Partner with department leaders to investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective actions
Requirements
- 5+ years of HR experience with deep expertise in employee relations and complex workplace investigations
- Experience managing workers' compensation programs and OSHA compliance
- Deep knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law and HR compliance
- Proven ability to coach managers through complex employee situations
- Strong investigative instincts and ability to synthesize information objectively
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver manager training
- Data-oriented with ability to track case metrics
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare, tech, or high-growth startup experience
- Experience supporting multi-site or multi-entity organizations
- PHR, SPHR, or related certification
