About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line advisory support and case management for disciplinary, performance, grievance, and absence management matters
  • Manage involuntary terminations, including ill health and GIP cessation
  • Maintain accurate ER case records within the case management system, ensuring GDPR compliance and data integrity
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on probation reviews, flexible working requests, and minor conduct matters
  • Support formal ER meetings by scheduling, providing logistics, and acting as a professional note-taker
  • Produce reports on ER activity and identify trends to support continuous improvement
  • Support organizational change activity, consultation exercises, and ER-led projects

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an HR support role, such as ER Support or HR Advisor
  • Good working knowledge of employment law
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Process-oriented with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (completed or currently studying)
  • Experience with HR reporting databases
