Employee Dining Room Cook II

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food items according to standardized recipes and chef specifications
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including kitchen equipment and storage areas
• Follow daily preparation lists to ensure all items are ready for service
• Manage cooking times to ensure timely service, especially during peak hours
• Ensure accurate portion sizes and high-quality presentation of all dishes
• Safely operate and maintain various kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and slicers
• Assist with the storage of food deliveries and report any product or equipment issues

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques including baking, grilling, sauté, and roasting
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Proficient English communication skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in hot or humid environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Culinary School graduate
• ServSafe or similar food safety certification
