Emerging Threats Cyber Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and maintain an in-depth understanding of emerging cyber threats, including tactics used by Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs).
• Lead OSINT research and correlate world event trends to identify vulnerabilities across the supply chain and defense industrial base.
• Use predictive modeling and vulnerability assessments to evaluate threat impacts on critical national systems.
• Analyze, correlate, and synthesize threat data from diverse sources to forecast threats and provide actionable recommendations.
• Work with development teams to articulate requirements and enhancements for security capabilities and tools.
• Document findings, create detailed reports, and present results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide team analysts to foster professional growth and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Forensics, or a related data analysis field.
• 7+ years of experience in intelligence, information security, network forensics, insider threat, or security operations.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Proven experience with OSINT research and vulnerability assessments.
• Proficiency with XKS, including creating general queries, fingerprinting, and identifying atypical events.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP communication protocols and packet flow analysis using Wireshark (PCAP).
• Experience writing signatures in Zeek and/or Snort.
