Emerging Threat Cyber Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to maintain an in-depth understanding of emerging cyber threats and world event trends
• Correlate and translate vulnerabilities across supply chains, the defense industrial base, and other critical system areas
• Analyze, correlate, and synthesize threat data from diverse sources to support detection strategies
• Work with analysts and developers to articulate enhancements to cyber capabilities and tools
• Document findings, create detailed reports, and present results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Extract and enrich data in various formats to enhance its value for threat intelligence

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Forensics, or a related data analysis field
• 3+ years of experience in intelligence, information security, network forensics, insider threat, or security operations
• Proven OSINT research skills
• Experience with XKS queries, fingerprinting, and identifying atypical events
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP communication protocols and packet flows
• Experience with Packet Capture (PCAP) traffic analysis using Wireshark
• Familiarity with writing signatures in Zeek and/or Snort
• U.S. Citizenship
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
