About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to Relationship Managers and market leadership to strengthen BMO’s market presence.
- Lead the structuring of high-value, complex deals and credit approvals to ensure alignment with client needs.
- Manage high-value client portfolios, driving cross-selling, retention, and profitability.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, acquiring clients, and expanding market penetration.
- Act as an escalation point for complex client issues, utilizing strategic problem-solving to resolve conflicts.
- Represent the bank at industry forums and conferences to stay informed on market trends and emerging products.
- Oversee resource allocation and mentor team members to enhance performance and support career development.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and compliance policies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Relationship Management, Account Management, or Portfolio Management within a corporate banking environment.
- Bachelor's degree is required (Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred).
- Proven expertise in structuring complex deals and performing credit risk assessments.
- Strong trackability in meeting sales metrics and driving revenue generation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- CPA certification.
- Extensive industry knowledge and experience as a technical thought leader.
