About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform triage, diagnostics, and medical management for a diverse emergency caseload
- Manage patient flow across the ER and ICU alongside a skilled technician team
- Develop diagnostic and treatment plans and communicate clearly with clients during critical moments
- Collaborate with specialists to provide advanced care and facilitate patient transfers
- Build relationships with referring veterinarians throughout the region
- Contribute to a teaching environment that supports interns, residents, and externs
Requirements
- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or ECFVG certification
- Ability to obtain Oregon veterinary licensure
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in emergency medicine
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced critical care environment
